True Pau d'arco must come from
correct species of tree and it must be processed properly. Research has shown that it is
inner lining of
bark that contains
compounds that are most effective at fighting certain ailments and diseases. Once
tree is harvested its bark is stripped and dried for a number of months until
inner lining separates from
outer bark. This inner lining is then chipped into small pieces and allowed to dry further. It is then ground up, sterilized and packaged.
True Pau d’arco is best used in tea form. When properly prepared,
