Incidental accessories like knives, shealth, collection bad, dive float, dive flag: These accessories, though often over- looked, can play an important role in your safety underwater. The better prepared you are, more you can enjoy your underwater experience.

Any potential need for specialty equipment like lights, cameras: Dive lights are not only useful at night, but also in murky lake waters.

Repair kit:

First aid and oxygen kit: If you and your friend are diving independently, this is of paramount importance. Do not overlook this.

C-card and logbook: This refers to your open water certifi- cation card. The logbook keeps an account of number of dives that you have made.

Check list for your time at boat: These items are not a part of your scuba dive gear checklist, but are useful in any outdoor activity.

Hat: To protect you from sun.

Sunscreen: Ditto.

Water: You always want to stay as hydrated as possible. Remember, when you are diving in tropical climates, it is best to have a bottle of water with you.

Windbreaker: When you are on a boat in ocean, you sometimes cannot avoid heavy winds. Having a windbreaker can help you avoid temperature fluctuations of heavy winds, especially in non tropical climates.

Towels: This comes in handy when you get back on boat after your dive. Make sure you dry yourself thoroughly.

Long-sleeved shirt for protection from sun: Diving in tropical climates requires some sort of protection from sun. In addition to being hydrated properly, you should take a bottle of sunscreen, as well as long-sleeved shirt. Sunburns can totally mess up your time underwater.

Lunch and snacks: Don’t always depend on your dive group to provide you with meals. Quick snacks such as fruit/granola bars and beverages will prevent you from being hungry. Ask beforehand if food will be provided or catered. Otherwise, consider bringing a sandwich if there is a fridge on board.

Seasickness medication: Consult your doctor beforehand if your are prone to seasickness and need medication.

The next step is to circle to venue, and ask different tickets scalpers (people who buy & sell tickets for profit) what prices they want for their tickets. You should find that they vary dramatically per scalper, and so try to memorize cheapest areas. The key places that scalpers flock are main entrances and box office, but are often more expensive in these places. Don’t be tempted to purchase tickets just yet – unless your happy with price/or there are few ticket scalpers around. Scalpers will always be at events that have a high demand and if event is not in high demand then you should have easily gotten tickets for venue/club itself! IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: The closer to event, cheaper scalpers will sell their tickets.

The next thing to do is to try and find fans with extra/spare tickets. Fans will not be looking for much for their tickets and so tickets can come cheap! It’s quite easy to tell difference between fans and scalpers. Scalpers are usually interested in buying tickets, not just selling. Scalpers will also be standing in one place, while fans tend to walk around. The biggest difference is of course clothes (this is easier to tell difference in concerts). Fans will usually have team colours (sporting events), or dressed to look good/performers t-shirt (concerts) while scalpers will be in everyday clothes. If you find a fan with tickets buy them here instead of scalpers, as you will find prices are cheaper.

You must now buy your tickets from scalpers. The biggest factor now is timing, for sporting events then you are better purchasing tickets for start, but for concerts it’s not so important as supporting acts aren’t so special. Its now up to you how long you wait to get your tickets, later you leave it, cheaper tickets will be. Take into account whether you have been to this venue before. An important thing to know is, as soon as show is scheduled to start ticket prices plummet! A decade ago (before my Free Ticket Methods), I used to be able to get tickets for a few dollars/pounds that were worth anything up to £30/$50. It’s truly amazing how much you can save by missing first 5 minutes of a show.
