Never go diving without a magnetic compassWritten by Jakob Jelling
A magnetic compass is an indispensable device which divers should always carry and be able to consult while they dive. The compass might make difference for a lost diver allowing him to find shore, which he couldn't do without it. Having a magnetic compass is crucial at moment of wishing to know where we are while being at water.Whenever a diver is checking on his equipment and making sure he has everything he needs, one of first things he should check is for his compass. A diver should never go into sea without having this device with him. It doesn't matter if it is an experienced diver or not, any one could get lost if they didn't have a magnetic compass with them. Using a magnetic compass is not as easy as it might seem and it might take some practice before diver is able to use it and read it properly. Actually, many divers tend to feel like they don't need to learn or practice with their compass, and they don't find out their mistake until they are into water and need help of this device.

An important thing to remember about kayaking is that you should never paddle alone. One of biggest rules of thumb when it comes to kayaking is that you should never paddle alone. The reasons for this are many, but most of all, if you make sure that you have somebody with you, then you'll be able to stay safe in almost any situation. Having an extra person with you means that if something happens to one of you, other one will be there to help out - either with first aid kit, with going for help, or even just by being somebody on other end of a throw rope. Never paddle alone is a good idea for other reasons as well. For instance, if you're going to be kayak touring, chances are good that you'll see a lot of amazing things - and it's always good to have another person there to share them with you. Plus, it will likely be a fun and exciting event to share with your friend. Another thing that you should consider is that if you never paddle alone, then you'll be able to go kayaking in wilderness without feeling too lonely. After all, it can be very lonely to be alone out on water with just you and your kayak. If you have another person to talk to, you'll more than likely have more fun out there.
